Grandson's

Here are a few pictures of my grandsons!  They are so ornery and cute at the same time!

My niece took these pictures! Arent they good!

My Paper Floor

Yep, I finally did this after seeing it years ago.  It is really easy to do, but for a girl out of shape this was hard on the body! LOL

You will need:
1 - brown 35" Contractors Paper @ Lowes for $10.98 a roll which I bought 2 rolls
2 - Gallons of Elmers All White Glue was was $12.98 a gallon
1 - 5 Gallon Bucket with Lid (To mix glue and water 50/50)
1 - Paint pan (for polyurathane)
1 - Gallon of Polyurathane at $32.46 (Min Wax) is the brand I got and I got 2 (Fast Drying)
Rollers to roll the polyurathane on the floor and we also bought an extension for the roller so we didnt have to bend over with the small roller handles
Also cheap paint brushes to brush polyurathane on the edges of the paper floor so that it seals where the rollers dont get get along the walls.

Tear up the paper and different sizes (I used BIG pieces) and dip them in your glue solution which is same amount of glue to same amount of water.  Wring out the glue off the paper the best you can and then lay it down on the floor.  Make sure to overlap the paper.  You will have dark spots and light spots and that is okay.

Let paper dry at least 24 hours, then apply the polyurathane and let dry about 3 hours or so.  Before walking on it.  We let ours dry about 24 hours before applying the 2nd and 3rd coats.  You can apply as many coats as you want.

This is what my floor looked like before, I was trying to scrape up all the adhesive tiles and then lay the paper on the concrete floor.
These are also "before" pictures.  This is my kitchen hallway and my dining room floor.  The picture above is the hallway between my scrapbook room and my husband's hobby room or "office"
This is the floor after (my Sister In Law) put this paper down.  There is a dried part at top and the wet part on bottom that shows the glue drying.
This is my kitchen floor after the paper has dried
On the left you can see the first coat of polyurathane and on the right is the dried paper that hasnt gotten any polyurathane on it yet.
My bathroom before
My Bathroom after.  I used 8 1/2 x 11 Scrapbook paper.  Which was about as thick as card stock.  I had to let this sit in the glue for a little longer so that the paper would soften up.  I didnt at first and now that paper is lifting so I am gonna have to find someway to get adhesive under it to tack it down.

This is my bathroom floor and the hallway floor side by side.
